Experience:

2005-2019 Young & Franklin Inc.,Liverpool NY

Electrical Engineer

Duties ;

1. Designed Printed Circuits Board (PCB) Using Eagle for the Dual Embedded Processors also designed power PCB to handle High Currents and filter boards. Worked with CAD Designers to create 3D models of boards in Autodesk Inventor, for mechanical packaging.

2. This also included designed of switching power power supplies 3. Analog circuit were used for sensor conditioning 4. Analog circuit were simulated using LTSPICE

5. I designed Production test procedures and designed test jigs used by production, 6. Early on I worked with a contract programmer to develop the motor control firmware in C++ later a full time programmer with motor control expertise was hired, The firmware used a Digital Processing method of Field Oriented Control 2004-2004 Hand Held Products, Skaneateles Falls, NY Temporary Production Technician

Duties:

1. Trouble shoot and repair hand held computers

2. This was 2nd shift night I was responsible in keeping production when things went down. 2004-2004 Anaren, East Syracuse, NY

RF Tester for circulator production (Temporary job) Duties:

1. Tune Circulators (Circulators are an RF component that separates incoming from outgoing radio signals)

2003-2004 Tessy Plastics, Elbridge, NY

Laborer (Temporary job) Robert W. Wolf

1999-2002 Inficon Inc., East Syracuse, NY

Design Engineer

Duties:

1. Design power supply and analog circuit for an Electron Impact Emission Spectroscopy sensor used to measure plating during vacuum deposition used in semiconductor manufacturing. This involved Digital Signal Processing methods and a FPGA Electron Impact Emission Spectroscopy is hard to explain without diagrams. Photons are detected by a photo-multiplier tube synchronous to an electron beam 2. Designed Printed Circuit boards using Orcad and Zuken CAD 3. Worked with Mechanical Cad designers to designed packaging 4. Used Matlab and simulink to simulate overall design. 5. Simulated Analog circuits using LTSPICE

6. Tested EMI emissions and immunity.

7. Ran several Qualification tests to verify accuracy and measure drift. 1985-1999 Thermopatch Corporation, Syracuse, NY

Electronics Project Engineer

Duties:

1. Design Electronics for Heat Seal machines

2. Designed printers to print bar codes and text on cloth labels 3. Designed printed circuits boards using Orcad

4. Most products included embedded controller which I wrote the firmware 5. All products had to meet EMI specifications for Europe CE approvals 1978-1985 Mastech Incorporated, Syracuse, NY

Test Equipment Designer

Duties;

1. Design Digital and analog circuits to test discrete Semiconductors This equipment was sold to semiconductor manufacturers to test their products. 2. I wrote firmware to control the test equipment. 3. The equipment used an early version of IEEE-488 bus 1975-1978 Leigh Systems Incorporated, Syracuse, NY Production Engineer

Duties;

1. Initially I was hired to do incoming Quality control inspection also was involved with Radio frequency testing

2. Later I was promoted to Production Engineer. The Product was web inspection equipment that was manufacture in Canada. I was sent to Canada for a few months to learn the manufacturing process. The manufacturing was then moved to the United States Each web inspection equipment was tailored for our customer. I worked with engineering to develop a drawing package and bill of materials, I scheduled each operation in the factory and Tested the equipment final assembly before shipping. Went to the customer site and supervised installation Education: Electrical Engineering, Ohio University
