PROJECTS EXPERIENCE
NETGEAR - Mechatronics Engineering Intern - Radio Frequency Team February 2019 - September 2019 San Jose, CA
• Programmed autonomous transportation robots to carry antenna testing devices at various signal points.
• Developed a WiFi monitoring device displaying signal strength through an array of colored LEDs.
• Performed an FEA on SolidWorks to design and rapid prototype mounts for new generation of router devices. Spartan Superway- Mechatronics Engineering November 2019 - Present San Jose, CA
• Built a system of pod cars vehicles to autonomously circulate around a track while avoiding collisions and stoping at stations.
• Implemented ultrasound, LiDAR, hall effect and camera sensors on the pods for collision avoidance.
• Updated and shared each pod car’s position using a WiFi library on a ESP32 microcontroller using C/C++. PROJECTS
Inverter Pendulum Robot January 2018 - May 2018
San Jose, CA
• Designed a LQR control to make a Minseg Robot overcome gravity and stabilize perpendicularly to the ground.
• Collected data through gyroscope, accelerometer and encoder wheel sensors and designed controller blocks.
• Altered the motor’s voltage, position and velocity to stabilize the robot 90 degrees to the ground. Paseo Prototype Challenge January 2019 - May 2019
San Jose, CA
• Lead a 5-member multidisciplinary team to build a fingerprint/RFID locker.
• Used SolidWorks assembly to design the locker’s components and functionality.
• Design a power interface between the finger print sensor, RFID, stepper motor and an Arduino UNO board.
• Programed the Arduino such that a locker compartment would only open to an assigned fingerprint or RFID tag. LEADERSHIP
National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) - President August 2018 - May 2019 San Jose, CA
• Organized a career fair with 12 companies and more than 60 students in attendance at San José State University.
• Raised $8,000 and sent 12 students to both the regional and national black engineering conference. African American Black Success Center at SJSU - STEM Ambassador March 2018 - February 2019 San Jose, CA
• Created a mentoring program that paired 6 freshmen majoring in STEM with upperclassmen for a school year.
• Held weekly lessons on the basics of programing and micro controllers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi). TECHNICAL SKILLS
