We used embedded SQL in our programs to do file maintenance functions and to do other functions using the DB2 architecture. Used triggers to check an event on a file and then do an action.

XA Applications - Customer Order Management, Inventory Management

Wrote programs in RPG ILE to create offline load files for the following applications: Customer, Item Master, Physical Inventory, AR, GL, Orders and Ship-to information.

I wrote RPG ILE custom code in the Order Processing, Packing and Shipping modules. I wrote custom code to edit orders in the offline load process and to print Shipping Paper work.

I created service programs to perform certain functions. For example we needed to convert dates from one format to another. I created service programs to do these conversions.

I used the MKS(Implementer) product to check programs out to modify them and test them. Once I was complete with my testing I promoted the programs to the QA environment. Then a designated person would promote them to the Production Environment.
