Commissioning and Start-Up and Operation

Implementation and monitoring of Sadara policies, system, processes, procedures and controls relation to the isolation and permitting to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude.
Review and verify all documentation accompanies requests for permits are properly completed.
Conduct worksite risk assessment to ensure that all hazards associated with the work have been identified and approves the control measures or preventive measures are in place prior on issuance of work permits.
Plans and schedules all isolations and permitting process, provides permits as required during shift to support the effective, timely and smooth implementation of work within the assigned operation centre.
Support with planning and scheduling major shutdowns, in conjunction with the operation’s supervisor, by ensuring that the planning process accounts for the effective isolation in line with the scope of maintenance that is planned and look ahead permits preparation.
Lead the safe and effective isolation of equipment to ensure preparation requirements are carried out safely and zero energy test are completed as required before work commences.
Maintain and update daily PTW register and isolation activities through Operation discipline management system, ODMS and associated documents in order to keep up-to-date and accurate records to prevent work clashes.
Take control of isolation and permit issuance of remote location work as per compliance on procedure.
Involved in educating workers in toolbox meetings about the day-to-day criticality of respective jobs and safety requirements.
Implementing LOTO procedure, perform isolation and de-isolation. Monitor and audits PTW compliance especially the lock out/ Tag Out system in relation to issues work permits.
Report and investigate incidents and near misses.
Perform gas testing activities where necessary.
Ensure that the worksite is left in safe condition when the work is completed or suspended.
Ensure that adequate handovers take place at shift change with regard to job status and isolation condition.
Attend departmental daily meeting for discussion of prioritizing and planning of critical activities for safe execution.
Mentoring and coaching local employees in the permit to work and LOTO system.
PERFORM OTHER DUTIES
AREA FOCAL POINT
Assigned as one of the area owner of Outside battery limit (OSBL) and perform daily monitoring of all activities.
Monitoring, reporting and review any non-conformance for preventive and corrective maintenance with the OSBL subsystems and utilities lines, sanitary lift stations, equipment, fire hydrant, PIV, roads, communication system and ditches to identify areas of continual improvement.
Responsible to raise notification through SAP system for preventive and corrective maintenance or breakdown equipment and review reject or approve based on needs.
Liaise with various department when the equipment that required shutdown, maintenance and return to operation of equipment.
Interface with maintenance coordinator, planner and operation supervisors to develop maintenance schedule, look ahead plans for permit preparation, equipment preparation, materials and manpower availabity for fast work.
Supervise and monitor maintenance’s and contractor’s job.
OTHER DUTIES
Involved in startup of LP, MP, and HP Steam, Industrial water, sanitary lift station and other subsystem.
Assigned in Nitrogen preservation of commissioned subsystem and perform padding and de-padding, checking the required dew point, oxygen level, snoop test and pressure monitoring.
