Olivia J. Sons
To Whom it may concern,
I am excited to be considered for the Independent Sales Representative position within Petzl. From discussing the company with employers, peers, and locals; I am sure that Petzl has the ability to provide a fulfilling and enjoyable while challenging career. My status as a Clemson University Graduate with an MBA matched with my experience in an Architectural firm as an Administrator has given me a solid platform to build upon for further growth in your company. I was able to handle all invoicing and billing, payments, along with quarterly reports and statements for the start-up firm and created important documentation like business plan and operating procedures. I am comfortable in both business and outdoor atmospheres. My knowledge and understanding of the outdoor and extreme sports industries will aid me in my ability and passion for this company. Backed by my resume, I believe I have endless potential on your team, as shown by my initiative with volunteer work, college sports, and Spanish as a second language. My diverse leadership roles in the outdoor world including managing a large whitewater rafting company, marketing, managing zip-line courses, working ski slopes, or organizing large overnight camping trips, have allowed me to learn from and become adaptable in many different aspects of a company.
I have made travel a critical part of my life and education. The connections formed have broadened my ideas of the world. My exposure to various subcultures has enriched my life greatly and given me a basis to relate with others in a unique way. My undergraduate degree in Intercultural Studies contributes to my relational abilities with its emphasis on psychology and the integration of cultures.
Petzl has been on my radar for years, above all our common passion for the great outdoors resonates with me. I am through and through an outdoor enthusiast. I began my career in the outdoor industry as a zipline guide and used Petzl helmets. A few years later I managed the ziplines and had very positive experiences working with your company on minor repairs etc. My experience and passion predominantly surrounds rivers. I have spent countless hours cleaning river beds and pushing for the preservation of some of our most sacred places. There is nothing more I would love to do than to be part of a team that centers its business around a shared passion.
I am confident that I am a promising candidate and will contribute substantially to the quality and standards of your reputable company.
Thank you for your consideration,
Sincerely,
Olivia Sons
