Six-DOF Robotic Arm, U of Dayton, Dayton, OH AUG 2019-DEC 2019
Redesigned the fixtures of the robotic arms in SolidWorks. Optimized the structure design of the robotic arm and produced the arms with the 3D printer. Implemented the arm calibration and kinematics control functions in Arduino. Led the team to discuss the best procedures for the robotic arm.
Reciprocating Saw Mechanism, U of Dayton, Dayton, OH AUG 2019-DEC 2019
Constructed the 3D models in SolidWorks and valid the design feasibility using FE Analysis. Modeled and visualized the saw linkage in SolidWorks. Calculated the cam relevant parameters in MATLAB and selected bevel gears, cam follower and other shaft accessories. Redesigned the reciprocating power saw to reduce vibration and volume.
FE Analysis, U of Dayton, Dayton, OH JAN 2019-MAY 2019
Constructed the FE stiffness analysis for the torque arm. Created FE models and analyzed the principal stress, displacements, and stress concentration on concerned spots by using ABAQUS. Explored effects by applying different load paths, BCs, and mesh types. Gave countermeasures to the original design.
Senior Design (CAD/CAM applied to 3D models and production - Audi R8), MUST, Hsinchu, TW SEP 2015-MAY 2016
Created the 3D model by utilizing SolidWorks. Arranged the 3D-machining process in HyperMILL and programed the G codes in OPEN MIND post processors. Calculated the cutting speed, feed force, spindle speed, and other parameters for flat end mills and ball end mills to achieve the best surface roughness and machining process time. Produced the models by machining the aluminum block with the 3-axis machining center.
