Brought in to address audit issues and created call tracking and LAN inventory applications that ensured audit compliance, account administration, technical support, and problem management were efficiently executed. With the goal of uninterrupted service, planned and managed workstation and server upgrades and office relocations for the division directing LAN Administrators and User Support Staff supporting the 450+ desktops. Maintained a high desktop to support personnel ratio by implementing automated software installation utilities to manage the roll out of applications to the desktop. Architected the integration of systems such as ODBC-based applications to a DB2 Source via MDI Gateways for Treasury users so they could overcome limitations of their current system without switching products or contracting consultants.

Brought in to address audit issues and directed the EDP department staff in the daily operation of helpdesk support, ID administration, application development, and nightly processing. Managed the upgrade of accounting system, the installation of a new custody system, and the network upgrade projects to replace terminals with PCs for all users. Documented technical procedures, controls, and disaster recovery plans for small data center which were put to the test by Hurricane Andrew.

Worked with London and Copenhagen developers to address audit issues with HP-based system by integrating VESoft Security/3000 into applications to establish IBM RACF-like controls. Reduced staffing and equipment required by implementing OCS Job Control and Job Rescue vendor solutions to consolidate systems, and integrated the operation of the mid-range systems into the data center’s IBM mainframe print distribution, tape management and alerting systems. Published technical articles regarding the implementations in Interact magazine, and presented papers at HP NECRUG conferences.

Collected user requirements, and developed telex and loan accounting applications (ALMS and LARS) and supporting user documentation to support loan syndication activities.
