I was pleased to see CyberCoders job listing for EHS Manager – EHS, Hazardous Waste, Wastewater in Carol Stream, IL, and wish to be selected for an interview.

My recent work experience includes 13 years working at Argonne National Laboratory with ten years as the Environmental Safety and Health (ES&H) Coordinator and Quality Assurance Representative for the Global Security Sciences (GSS) division. I am now seeking a new opportunity where my experience and abilities will be of value.

I have significant experience with both the development and implementation of a new computer-based safety system which had a Lean and Behavior-Based approach toward Quality and Safety. A significant challenge in my role as ES&H Coordinator was to both train and compel Program Managers to fully adopt and implement the Lab’s new safety system. This required effective, convincing communication, leadership and at times, skillful conflict resolution. Once the growing pains had subsided, my division and the Laboratory experienced a significant reduction in the number of incidents and accidents which resulted in reduced OSHA reporting and improved regulatory compliance.

Before working at Argonne, I worked for 13 years in the industrial water treatment business selling and servicing industrial boiler water, cooling water and wastewater treatment systems in large industrial plants such as oil refineries, chemical manufacturing facilities, steel mills, paper mills, and coal powered electric utility plants.

I have a bachelor’s degree in physics and am a former U.S. Naval Officer. Since my service dates span a period of time for which a campaign badge was authorized, I qualify as a Protected Veteran.
