Dear Sir or Madame:
I am seeking employment. I have recently moved to Alberta and live just south of Calgary close to Okotoks. Please find my resume briefly describing my education and experience.
I have completed four semesters of the Chemical Laboratory Technology program at Fanshawe College in London Ontario. In 2016 I graduated with Honours from Holy Cross Secondary School in Strathroy. I enjoy sports and physical fitness; I have my driver’s license and a car.
My most recent work term was with Dashwood Windows in a production role, responsible for the production of windows, doors and the re-work of units that had production defects. The fall of 2018 I completed my first Chemical Laboratory co-op placement with A&L Labs in London. Tasks included preparation of samples to be tested; soil samples, making solutions and digestion of plant tissues, manure, feed samples and cannabis for THC content. I fit in well with the team and was valued as a floater as I was able to perform many different tasks and was able to assist the team where extra help was needed.
Prior to my co-op placements I worked the previous five summers for the agricultural division of Dow Chemical with Dow Seeds. Assisted in preparing seed supplies in the lab and then assisted with field work from planting through to de-tasseling and pollinating seed corn at their research farm. I am a quick learner and have a good work ethic and a pleasant, easy going disposition.
I have been involved in numerous volunteer activities, such as: volunteering at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, assisting with our monthly food drive at our church, volunteering at the Daily Bread Food Bank in London, as well as the St Vincent De Paul Society.
I look forward to discussing any opportunities that may be available.
Thank you for your consideration.
