Duties & Responsibilities of Quantity Surveyor:
Prepare Bill of Quantities / Material Take-off in accordance with the Principle of Measurement International and for incorporation within the Contract Documents
Preparing and maintaining appropriate documentation to support estimate preparation as per relevant cost estimating practices, standards and procedures.
Re-measure all the quantities for the items in the Project /B.O.Q and notify the changes
Prepare monthly Recap Quantities of all items in the Project /B.O.Q.
To perform comprehensive cost analysis and provide necessary recommendations to bring project costs within the budget in coordination with the cost controller.
To Ensure the cost and quantity of delivered material related to work on-site is as per project specifications and requirements
Calculate all quantities of material related to work required in any change order and ensure their compliance with the required specifications
To maintain a schedule of submissions and responses, for approvals, inspections, variations etc.
To prepare monthly reports on project in conjunction with Project Manager and site team.
Assisting in variations analysis, recommendations and management.
Assist in the review contractor’s payment certificates including review of compilation of all cost items in accordance with agreed and / or approved unit prices and agreed quantity measurement.

Prepare Payment Certificate Reports.
Assisting in preparation of progress/ cost reports
Monitor all commercial information in relation to project including labor, material and sub- contractor cost forecasting.
Follow-up and measurement of actual work done at site
Prepare Final As-Built Quantities during end of the project.
Quantify and priced variation orders and prepare necessary back up computations and drawings and negotiate the same to the higher management.
Evaluating Site Instructions issued for change orders / variations.
Preparing and updating working bills of quantities as required maintaining accurate records for cost control Interim payment applications, subcontract administration and final account.
Checking the subcontractor submitted quantities as per Contract, BOQ and as per site execution.
Preparing interim Payment Certificate.
