My biggest accomplishment is to ensure my work and that of the contractor meets quality requirements. Some of my daily duties as a field engineer are to review contractor submittals. Review design documents and drawings and coordinate with discipline engineers when needed. Coordinate with Contract Supervisors to ensure that the required technical submittals are obtained from contractors and reviewed in a timely manner. The real accomplishment right now that is after 13 months from the kick off meetings both projects are about 25-30% ahead of schedule and that is something I am proud of and I promoted to be lead engineer on these project which cost more than 450 million SR.
