Role: Senior Test Engineer

LeanTaas built replenishment analytics for Homedepot Rental business using an intelligent algorithm to suggest buy sell and transfer recommendations based on the demand and tool performance. Algorithm also suggests the location based transfer recommendations for tools to meet the demands in nearby stores.

Contribution:

Test engineer for the entire quality analysis of the project’s data warehouse.

The Next generation billing (NGB) is the name of the billing implementation project. This system would have a bill run cycle that will once in a month. This basically computes all the charges based on the messages sent, characters sent, size of the message sent discounts, taxes, base charges, off peak hours and peak hours etc and comes up with one invoice per customer for each customer every month. This data is used to generate reports for each product.

Contribution:

Flexible report generation UI and its functionality testing in all possible scenarios by developing the queries on Qualcomm data warehouse.

Validation or Testing of billing report generated in Cognos by writing the suitable queries and running over the database.

Developed utility SQL scripts for data validation that are helpful in the testing process.

The Profit & Loss (P&L) Data Warehouse project will consolidate, into one central database, information of Actual and Budget concerning QWBS financial performance. In order to provide the best possible performance and allow for system growth, this central database will be designed and developed using the standard QWBS data warehouse model. This model will allow for the retrieval and consolidation of large volumes of data from multiple source systems while providing a wide range of end-user reporting and analysis capabilities.

The end users for the P&L Project will consist of virtually the entire QWBS Finance community, including executive level managers as well as those managing and executing the day-to-day financial reporting and analysis activities. Additional users/ beneficiaries of this project may also include anyone who is responsible for managing and tracking the various revenue and cost centers of QWBS.

The Project aims at converting 100+ Batch processes that are coded in PeopleSoft SQRs into PL/SQL Blocks with major performance improvement and schedule them as needed. Report generation (like Termination report, promotions report) and archiving of reports was main functionality in EEO project. Development of user friendly UI using JSF, for complete offline scheduling and triggering of PL/SQL procedures using Flux with full length job monitoring capability.
