Various Novell Networks. I introduced Novell Netware to McAuliffe Office Products

(https://www.facebook.com/pages/McAuliffe-Office-Products/178************ )as a replacement for IBM Xenix (See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenix) a multiuser platform for the IBM AT, with Novell Netware (See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NetWare) a LAN solution for connecting PC’s. This substantially reduced the number of support people required and increased MOP’s sales to small businesses. Moved from Sales to Support as the Sr. Systems Engineer.

Network for the District Attorneys (State of Vermont). Implemented and provided support for a statewide network to connect the Vermont District Attorneys (Novell, using Novell hardware on ARCnet

(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARCNET), Token-Ring (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Token_ring) and Ethernet (wired) (See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethernet).

New York Transit Authority (NYTA (IED)) Assisted IED (Innovative Electronic Design

(https://www.facebook.com/pages/Innovative-Electronic-Designs/533************) with conversion of the New York Subway System from asynchronous communications to TCP/IP. Work included designing and building a mock setup of the Red Line in Louisville, KY to installing Bay Network Systems

(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bay_Networks) routers in over 200 subway stations. (Replaced by Cisco System Routers).

The Vermont Interactive Learning Network. (Later called ILN, https://www.learntechlib.org/d/19018) Designed and implemented an interactive learning network for Vermont high and middle schools. This was an Ethernet based system using TC/IP and H.233 (See https://www.itu.int/rec/T-REC-H.223-200107-I/en) over ISDN (See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Integrated_Services_Digital_Network) using Cisco routers and switches and Polycom Video systems.

Wireless Network Coordinator. The last three years I have been the wireless network coordinator for the Killington Woman’s Cup at the Killington Resort. This has included design and technical support for the largest sporting event in Vermont, with over 20K people attending and over 1,900 simultaneous users. I mad corrections to the network in real time, and used Wyebot systems (https://wyebot.com/) to confirm system operations and efficiency.

Wireless Networking. I have designed numerous wireless network systems using a variety of networking hardware, including Cisco, HP, Aerohive (https://www.aerohive.com) and Ruckus

(https://www.ruckuswireless.com/). I introduced Aerohive to Vermont schools, and did many system designs and implantations

Other Networks. I’ve designed/installed/repaired a wide variety of LAN/WAN/MAN systems including Microsoft Windows based (with various application programs) and several Linux variations,. This has been in many settings including business, schools, and state government. OTHER
