Setting up a 250 seat capacity ballroom for both large and small groups based upon the needs of the client (classroom, wedding, and theater-style) while overseeing a staff of 6. Instructing the staff on the set-up and proper service for both sit-down and buffet dinners. Coordinating with the catering manager and chef to design and decorate the events per the client’s desires inclusive of what amenities were needed to properly accommodate the guests. Assigning the staff their duties and responsibilities for each event including side work, breakdown, and clean-up afterwards. Keeping track of and tabulating all staff time to make sure that they were paid the right commissions for their work.

During this period I also assisted with a major renovation of 231 hotel rooms removing old furniture and installing and setting up new furniture, hanging new wall pictures, and mounting televisions.

Oversight of a staff of 12 people for the terrace restaurant at the GWCC. Responsible for assigning work stations and duties. Entrusted with stocking the bars and handling financial transactions involving thousands of dollars serving liquor.
