Undergraduate Honors Research Project
Created a cosmological model for inflation using a system of differential equations derived from cosmological theory and manipulated them using dynamical system analysis.
Involved a heavy amount of independent research, deriving my methods from various published peer-reviewed articles on inflation theory and dynamical systems.
Compiled data using MATLAB and Python to plot models displaying projected relations between various parameters for universal forces.
Presented findings and analysis to undergraduate board of professors.
Clickbait Detection Software - Group Project
Part of a team that created a database of over 2 million news articles using Pandas library in Python to parse and store information on news articles in a dictionary with several keys for referencing the articles.
Developed a program in Python to access the constantly updating news article repository to generate a stratified semi-random sample of articles to test various algorithms on.
Variance Analysis Generator
Financial Analysis tool
Developed a python algorithm that parses through the company’s financial database and determined major variance drivers for the allotted time period, as well as auto-populating a chart displaying variance comments.
Interfaces requests user input, which is used to determine the scope of the comments generated, allowing for software flexibility.
Software currently in use at the company, and actively saves approximately 20-40 work hours monthly towards reporting.
