Worked as the lead drainage engineer on the A119 roundabout site for the A602 Highway Improvement Works scheme for Hertfordshire County Council. Detailed designed the proposed drainage network on using MicroDrainage to model the existing and proposed network. Designed the drainage system to the local authority guide, Roads in Hertfordshire: Highway Design guidance, and DMRB. Applied sustainable surface water management techniques from Ciria SuDS Manual (C753). Delegated workload to other staffs. Prepared the Specification and the Drainage Report. Delivered drainage layout drawings.
Worked on various Scheme Appraisable Reports (SARs) on value management road safety schemes for HE Area 3. Used technical knowledge/ decision to quantify the benefits of having the proposals. Coordinated different SARs and liaised with third parties, such as the transport planning team, the environmental team and the survey contractor to complete the different elements in the schemes. Designed road safety solutions on using standards. Calculated the future renewal cost and road workers risk exposure within the assessment period.
