Study on MSCD Cases and Their Medical Expenditures Attributable to Smoking: An Analysis of the 2009 Medical Expenditures Panel Survey [Used R] (May 2019)

• Estimated the smoking-attributable costs of treating major smoking-caused diseases (MSCD) for populations which have different characteristics.

• Modeled the logistic regression to evaluate the risk of having MSCD given smoking behavior.

• Investigated the connection between smoking caused disease (MSCD) and their medical cost by implementing “two-part model”, which contains logistic regression model and linear regression model. Analysis of The Difference in Average Expenditures Between the Diseased and Non-Diseased Subgroups by Using Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS) [Used R] (Nov. 2018)

• Determined the significant key variables, developed regression model analysis and performed diagnostics.

• Fixed model based on model assumptions (“LINE”).

• Applied Delta method and Bootstrap method to estimate the standard error for difference in average expenditures, and 95% confidence interval.

Time Series Data Analysis for U.S. Death Rate 1920-2000 [Used R] (Oct. 2017)
