Multi-Location Order Fulfillment (MLOF):
The primary purpose of Multi-Location Order Fulfillment (MLOF) is to enable order fulfillment from multiple facilities for E-Commerce orders using the same SKU. With the rollout of four E-Commerce Fulfillment Centers (EFC), limitations in the current order management system (OMS) required a single SKU to be fulfilled from either of the four eFC’s. Kohl’s has chosen to integrate the IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS) application with the logistics systems. The IBM Sterling OMS provides intelligent sourcing and allows the implementation of Multi-location order fulfillment. The implementation of these intelligent sourcing decisions is expected to reduce shipping costs, improve cash flow, and provide improved visibility to E-Commerce returns
