SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER

Software Test Engineer for the Multidimensional Information and Data Analytics System (MIDAS). MIDAS is a computer system acting as a central data warehouse for capturing, aggregating, and analyzing data from the Affordable Care Act (ACA) related systems and processes.

Quickly became point of contact for several data streams. Responsibilities included Preparing Test Scenarios, Test Plans, Test Cases and Test Data. Running the Python and Unix shell scripts to load data from source to target and executing Test Cases by writing SQL queries to validate data migration between the Source & Target database tables using HIVE and Hue Editor. Also, generating reports in Cognos using data from Splunk and RedShift and verifying the Cognos reports are as per the designed wireframes and comparing data as per the required logic.

Responsible for testing most of the staging layer data which is later used by our data analysts and data scientists, heavily involved in the testing for most of our data streams when migrating over to AWS and testing data streams for retired Pentaho ETL jobs.
