• Worked in the department of Medicine,as assistant to the Physician where my duties included physical examination of patients,ordering and interpreting X-Ray, EKG, USG, and Laboratory investigations. Filling out prescriptions, taking ward and ICU rounds, entering daily patient complaints, physical exam findings, new medicines introduced or stopped, investigation findings & other progress notes in the case sheet, discharge of patients, noting down any referrals in the physicians diary.Seeing medical cases in the casualty and attending to ward and ICU calls.

• Worked in Casualty as Resident Medical Officer where I would be seeing the patients and recording their vital signs, relevant system examinations, ordering and interpreting X-ray's, EKG, and laboratory investigations, prescribing drugs, carrying out minor procedures, admitting as IP cases or discharging uncomplicated cases with prescriptions and asking for review as necessary, of Orthopedic,Neurosurgery Cardiology,General Surgery, General Medicine ENT, Pediatric, Urology,Obstetrics and Gynecology and other speciality cases in liason with the consultants or otherwise.

• I would also be certifying brought dead cases and if found necessary requesting for an autopsy done. Also certifying death of critically ill patients while under treatment in the hospital.

• I would also be managing and treating medicolegal cases like alleged assaults, elephant attacks, explosive burns, road traffic accidents and admitting them for further police enquiry and intimating the police for a First Information Report.

• Carrying out minor procedures like soft tissue injury suturing under local anesthesia, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, ryles tube insertion.In my house I have done suturing and applied plaster of Paris slab also.

• Also worked for a short while in Orthopedics.

• Actively participated with the consultants to form a separate IMA branch for Kunnamkulam doctors.

• Actively participated in conducting Kerala state medical conference at Kunnamkulam.

• Actively participated in conducting monthly IMA meetings, fellowships and CME's.

• Participated as medical officer for medical camp arranged by law students of Trichur, to help them connect with local people.
