After attending my compulsory service in the defense force I joined the Correctional Services of South Africa where I further gained experience in the construction field, however I got accepted at the South African Transport Services where I had the opportunity to complete my apprenticeship and qualify at N6 level in Building Construction (a qualification equal a degree). In 1992 I decided that it was time to head out on my own and I started Charles Nel Bouers where I constructed various single and multi-level buildings with a team of up to 30 labourers.

Due to the rising crime in South Africa I decided to hand over the business to my son and head out for new opportunities. Experience
