Communicate with customers and advise them from my experience what would be the best set up for their situation and want/ needs. Stake out pool, set up a laser level and choose proper pool grade so water flows away from pool, dig the pool hole. Install steel walls, accessories, pour equipment pad with concrete, trowel pool base, hang the liner, install trim for steps main drains skimmer, cut liner after trim is installed, backfill behind pool walls. Liner replacements, low hung Liner conversions. Operate many heavy equipment machines with precise skill. I dug 6 pools by myself this year, which usually there is at least 3 guys. Basic plumbing skills, connecting ridged to elbows, t’s and etc. Basic electrical skills, bonding light, handrails in pool, anode for equipment. Inspect vehicles/trailers and properly maintain them.

Cdl class a license, air brake endorsement. Drive a dump truck with a backhoe on a trailer. Load and unload backhoe from trailer. Inspect both the dump truck and backhoe for any damage/issues. Grease and pm both machines. I have dug over 700 pools, tore out over 120,000 sq ft of sidewalk for the city of Grand Rapids and Wyoming, dug a couple foundations, tore out many concrete driveways, tore out and replaced a handful of pools, tore out trees/bushes etc, delivered 1000’s of yards of aggregates to job sites in a dump truck.

Assign tasks to co workers. Measure off a structure to stake pool where customer would like it. Use engineering scale of 100 footer to get cross dimensions to dig pool and drop stakes at breaks points. Read pool blue prints of how the hole needs to be dug to fit the walls and liner. Assemble steel walls. Cut holes in steel for lights, jets etc. use hand and power tools to assemble walls, coping, equipment pad, general pool kit assembly. Trowel pool base, the layer under the liner that sits on the ground and creates a nice soft and porous bass but gets hard like concrete when cured. Use a bobcat to backfill around walls after pool is installed. De water when digging a pool and there is a ground water table problem, next to river, lake etc. Grade spoils left around pool. Minor landscape projects. Erected a couple aluminum fences and privacy. Pool opening and pool closings. Liner replacements. Concrete stress relief cuts with a walk behind saw. Core drill for handrails. Concrete saw to cut out concrete to replace diving board jigs, cracks etc.
