Plant Design Final Year Project-Cumene and p-DIPB Production Plant 2019

Design and economic analysis of a chemical production plant consisting of packed bed reactors, heat exchangers, distillation columns, pumps and compressors, and mixer units. Utilized Unisim HYSIS to design a process flowsheet utilizing a series of reactors and separation units. Achieved a yearly production rate of 123,000 tonnes of p-DIPB and cumene.

Utilized Microsoft Visio to develop process flow diagrams and PIDs. Used these diagrams to explain the plant process to over 120 people, with detailed accuracy and conciseness.

Conducted market research, product development and sourcing for catalysts. Reduced the waste disposal costs by 100% by utilizing zeolites. Achieved a yield of 99.5% and a selectivity of 99.7%.

Methane and Nitrogen Separation through Adsorption 2018

Researched the adsorption capacities of Activated Carbons, Zeolites, and Desiccants. Utilized research tools and heuristics to achieve over 95 percent product purity using Pressure Swing Adsorption Method.

Drug Delivery in Anesthesia 2019
