Projects done during M.Tech

“Extraction and biological evaluation of keratin for wound healing” This project has been carried out at South India Textile Research Association (SITRA), Coimbatore for my master thesis. I have developed a substrate loaded with keratin protein and evaluated its biological and chemical properties for wound healing application.

“Preparation and characterization of Cellulose Nano-crystals by using Nitric acid” This research work deals with increasing the yield of Nano-crystalline cellulose with less ionic character through nitric acid extraction method. It effectively eliminates sulfonation at the primary -OH position when compared with other conventional extraction procedures.

“Nano fibers for bone regeneration”

This work was done exploring Bio-glass for bone regeneration application using TEOS. It deals with preparation of Nano fibers via electrospinning and evaluating its biological characteristics. Projects done during B.E

“Development of magnetoelastic sensor for diagnosis of vascular diseases” It involves the use of magnetometers in sensing out the pulse wave velocity at extremities of the upper limb and establishing a correlation with the degree of atherosclerosis developed. Journal Publications
