I am writing this letter to express my interest in joining your company. I am a newly admitted Legal Practitioner of the High Court of South Africa.

I completed my LLB studies at the University of Pretoria in 2016 and I joined clientele legal as a legal intern in July 2017. At Clientele legal I gave legal advice to clients with regard to matters relating to labour law, family law, as well as consumer law. Working at Clientele has given me varied skills such as a more in depth knowledge of the labour law and consumer law, the ability to multitask when working in hectic office environments as well as the ability to work with different types of people.

I then worked at M Mbatha Attorneys as a candidate attorney under the supervision of various attorneys where I gained extensive knowledge of drafting and safe keeping of wills as well as the process of administration of the deceased estate.

I ceded my articles to Derik Jaftha Attorneys because they specialised in various areas of the law. In my time at Derik Jaftha Attorneys, I have provided legal assistance in labour, civil and criminal disputes. I have gained very strong skills in drafting of court documents as well as court litigation. I have also attended the Practical Legal Training (PLT) which has greatly enhanced my knowledge of the field. I have had the opportunity to learn from well- accomplished professionals in the field.

I am now looking to put my experience to practice in a different environment in order to challenge myself, in doing so I am in the process of writing Regulatory Examinations (RE1 and RE5). I have also applied at the University of Johannesburg to study a postgraduate diploma in compliance management for the year 2020. I believe I can add value to your company.

I am very committed and a fast learner. I am eager to enrich my knowledge and application of the law, which has encouraged me to step out in search of new opportunities. I am intelligent, eloquent, ambitious and extremely hard working. My meticulousness and attention to detail allows me to maintain a high standard of work, even in high-pressure situations.
