Software Engineer July 2017 – July 2019

• Developed a web UI using ReactJS to display the potential theft incidents which can handle millions of records at a time. Integrated the UI with 5 microservices that query the PostgreSQL database. This application helped in decommissioning of 80+ mainframes jobs.

• Developed RESTful APIs and integrated them with an AngularJS web UI to audit the highly theft-prone items in the stores.

• Built a mobile application using Ionic 3 Framework to scan and track empty packages in the stores saving hundreds of manual entry hours. Integrated the app with Spring boot microservices and analyzed the data of items tracked by the application.

• Implemented CI/CD pipeline using Docker, Kubernetes and Drone which saved 300+ manual deployment hours.

• Integrated applications with ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) stack for real-time log aggregation, analysis and querying.

• Volunteered to be the Scrum master of the agile development team and lead the team through daily stand-ups, grooming, sprint planning and retrospectives.

PROJECTS AND HACKATHONS Know Your Trash, UCSB Womxn Hackathon Jan 2020

• Built an Android app to classify waste images into two categories: recycle and landfill. Used transfer learning (InceptionV3) with TensorFlow to build the ML model. The model returns the probabilities of the two categories.

• Won the best project prize in the category of sustainability. Safety Indexing of New York City using Big Data Techniques Oct 2019-Dec-2019

• Worked on an open source dataset of the New York Police Department to determine the safety index of each area of New York City. Used Apache Spark for the indexing of the data. Visualized the data using geoplot, geopandas and mapclassify python libraries.

• Won the Best Project Presentation Award for in-class presentation. Chatbot for Incidents creation, Target India Hackathon May 2019

• Built a chatbot that interacts with the users to help them create incidents and fetch the incident details without going through the hassle of using the service-now application. Built a spring boot microservice to get the incident details and leveraged the google speech-to-text API to take voice input from the user. Red Coin, Target India Hackathon April 2018

• Worked on blockchain technology to build a cryptocurrency as a reward point system for the Target Team Members. Used Ethereum and Mist to create the red coin and built a simple web UI that can be used to transfer the red coins among users. ACHIEVEMENTS
