Engineer Santos has spent more than fifteen (15) years in Doha, initially working as Senior Surveyor and Job Manager with GHD Global Pty. Ltd. until May 2011, and since then with the Arab Engineering Bureau as Senior Surveyor/Consultant for a number of the company’s construction supervision and development projects.

Mr. Santos has more than 30 years' experience in the field of geomatics and has since his arrival in Qatar been involved in various engineering, design, construction, environmental and survey projects for the Qatari Government and private entities. He has gained significant experience in construction supervision, enabling works, piling and foundation works, design consultancy, contracting, land development, roads and infrastructure, water, sewerage and waste water, palaces, villas and apartments, schools and universities, public health facilities, entertainment complex, public administration buildings, airports and facilities, energy and utilities. He has specific specialist knowledge in geodesy, hydrography, and photogrammetry and is adept with the application of state-of-the-art survey and mapping technologies such as 3D laser scanning systems, global positioning systems (GPS), geodetic Total Stations, satellite imagery and geographic information systems (GIS).
