PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

CoxHealth Pharmacy #2, Manager, 1000 E Primrose St, Springfield, MO 65807 5/11—02/20

Pharmacist in charge for outpatient/ambulatory care pharmacy located on Cox Hospital campus across the hall from Adult and Pediatric urgent care.

This pharmacy is wholly owned by the hospital and prior to the Meds-to-bed program was the retail arm of the hospital.

This location also services the Meds-to-Bed program for the hospital. This team fills prescriptions for patients leaving the hospital.

Sunshine HealthMart Pharmacy, Springfield, MO – Pharmacy Manager 10/10 – 4/11

Helped two friends open new pharmacy.

I recommended the location based on neighborhood, easy access and visibility.

Pharmacy is successful and filling in excess of 200 prescriptions per day.

Reason for leaving was we could not agree on partnership terms.

K-Mart Pharmacy 7193, Springfield, MO – Pharmacy Manager 5/09 – 10/10

Pharmacy manager position.

Left to open new store with ownership possibilities.

This location is now closed.

Family Pharmacy – Partner/Owner (Fair Grove, Bolivar, MO) 05/04 – 5/09

Partnership formed with 2 owners of Family Pharmacy in 2 new locations chosen by myself.

Both stores were profitable within 24 months as expense control was heavily emphasized and maximizing buying contracts with 2 primary wholesalers.

Partnership ended in May, 2009 due to serious differences in management goals.

Sadly, Family Pharmacy declared bankruptcy in 2018 and is now operated by their former primary wholesaler.

Requested transfer back to Ozark, Mo AS pharmacy manager in the Springfield, MO area in August 1998.

Sales at this store had been flat for the previous 2 years. Sales increases steadily improved to 10.7% per annum through 2001-2003 with no increase in expenses.

Promoted to District Manager of District 139 March 1995 through July 1998, located in West Kentucky and West Tennessee.

District Manager training completed May 1, 1995. Training encompassed overall supervision of pharmacies, merchandise directives, annual inventories, third party reconciliation’s, advertising and promotion dissemination, report compilation and analysis, personnel issues including harassment, union issues, coaching associates and personnel issue resolution, and the Americans with Disability Act.

Extensive training in budget preparation and P&L analysis.

Responsible for 14 to 18 stores depending on company needs over time.

District comparative store sales increases ranged from 14.22% to 15.59% with consolidated sales increases ranging from 20.91% to 24.14% including OTC sales.

Annual expense reduction ranged from 0.16% to 0.45%.

Net profit increases ranged from 0.66% to 0.78%

Conducted reviews with each Pharmacy Manager on their store’s financial performances with emphasis on third party insurance follow up, controllable expenses, proper buying, competition price checks and OTC merchandising.

Recruit, hire, train, supervise, coach and conduct performance evaluations on 42 to 56 pharmacists. Provide work schedules for all pharmacists in the district. Reconcile pharmacist payroll. Counsel and terminate as necessary.

Pharmacy Manager at 2825 N. Kansas Expressway, Springfield, Missouri, Store 86 from July 1990 to March 1995.

Achieved 18% increase in prescription and dollar volume during 1993.

Attained #2 Ranking in chain for OTC sales in 1993 due to a 40% increase in sales.

Achieved 22% increase in prescription sales during 1992.

Positioned pharmacy into Top 30 of U.S. stores in chain volume in 1991.

Assistant Pharmacy Manager position at 3301 S. Campbell, Springfield, Missouri Store 444 from January 1990 to July 1990.

Relief Pharmacist position for 4 pharmacies in Springfield and nearby cities from September 1989 to January 1990.
