WORK EXPERIENCE

Worked in Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Trivandrum, Kerala, for a period of 12 months from 11/05/09 to 10/05/10, as a graduate apprentice, where I was exposed to the following experiences

Notch filter implementation using ADSP2101 processor, which is a 16bit fixed point DSP microprocessor with on chip memory. This is mainly used for high speed application.

Familiarize a triple modular redundant system and implemented the compensator part of it using Vikram1601 processor, a 16bit processor with floating point support designed for flight applications. This processor is developed by VSSC itself.

Studied the operating procedure for stepper motor drive electronics and demonstrated the same for various batches of IIST students.

Involved in the testing of PAM-G Package which is similar to PS4 control electronics.

PROJECTS DETAILS

M.Tech. Project – Design and analysis of threshold logic gate using resistive devices.

Tool : SPICE

In this a Universal Boolean Logic cell based on a resistive divider and a CMOS inverter is implemented. The analog output of the resistive divider is the summation of weighted product of the input voltages and CMOS inverter converts this analog voltage to a binary voltage level. Unlike the conventional cell, here by using single cell structure larger input (up to 1000) logics can be implemented. This new method reduces the design complexity, the number of components required and area. And the performance of the proposed method is compared with the already existing logic families, and found that the proposed method is really advantages for larger number of inputs.

B.Tech. Project - Amount display in shopping trolley using radio frequency identification

The project is implemented using the innovative technology of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system, which consists of a reader and a transponder (transmitter + responder). The transponders are attached to the items to be purchased; and using radio frequency link, the reader reads the information about the purchased items and the total amount of the purchased item is displayed on the LCD screen. ARM7 processor is used for designing the system.

PAPER PRESENTED

Presented a paper on Comparative study of low power architecture for one bit full adder for ‘National Conference on Advanced Telecommunication Technologies (NCATT ’11)

at K. S. R. College of Engineering, Tiruchengode, Tamil Nadu.

PUBLICATIONS

IEEE transactions on Very Large Scale Integrated Systems. Title of the paper “RESISTIVE THRESHOLD LOGIC”

International Journal of Machine Intelligence and Sensory Signal Processing. Title of the paper "RESISTIVE MOSFET BRAIN-INSPIRED THRESHOLD LOGIC GATES.”
