About the Project:

Delphi – TVS Diesel Systems Ltd manufacturing Common Rail Diesel Fuel Injection systems for car, multi and sports utility vehicles,medium and light duty commercial vehicles,tractors,three wheelers,single & two cylinder small engines.

Customers are TATA Motors, Ashok Leyland, Mahindra and Mahindra, Renault Nissan (RSA) and Delphi Diesel Systems – Spain and prance.

Roles and Responsiblities :

Experience in the Area of Factory Production (Manufacturing) Department at Assembly - Testing line and Machine Shop Manufacturing Line.

Lead the Team Around 45 members and Reported to General Manager.

Conduct the cell meeting with team for previous day production achievements & Line issues.

Take immediate actions for problems which occurred and monitor it for further improvement.

Daily Discuss with administration for Line issues and Communication.

Hourly monitor the production and maintain productivity through Team Leader.

Maintaining and Goal setting for the OLE, PPH, PPHP and FTQ in Line.

To initialize and involve in Cost Reduction Activities.

Organizing in cell meetings and suggest improvements in Co ordination with concerned project Senior Engineers.

Active participation in internal and external Training Programs conducted and Coordinator of In-House Training Classes.

In-House rejection Analysis (WHY-WHY Analysis, Counter measures, SGA teams).

As 5’S leader and Internal Auditor, updating weekly 5’S scores and identifying gaps to take necessary actions

Supporting the responsibilities pertaining to Production, Quality, Cost reduction and Process improvement initiatives.

Working with Senior Engineers in preparation of Documents like Standard Cell Documents and Equipment operating Procedures etc...

Having an exposure and took part over R & R and MSA study for equipments and Gauge.

Reduced FTQ from 17% to 5% in the period of 10 Months for Assembly Line.

Reduced 30% of the Cycle time for the tightening machine through program and parameter modification.

Grindind machine cycle time reduced to 20 sec from 24 sec.

Introduced the Poke Yoke in External Grinding Machine.

Curtis External Grinding machine cycle time reduced with help of supplier during commissioning stage.
