Position Mud Logger Geologist/ Junior Data Engineer

SUMMARY:
•Supervise the Mud-Logging and Sample Catching crew.
•Establish accurate and comprehensive Logs as per client’s format.
•Good knowledge of correlation well section between new well drilling and near drilled wells and recognize marker of formation.
•Coordinates with Drill site manager, Mud Engineer, Wire-line Engineer, Directional Driller for well status.
•Maintain personal knowledge of current techniques for the interpretation of welldata.
•Design and produce computer generated Logs (Master Log, Pressure Log, Gas Log)as specified and requested by the Client in the scope of work.
•Monitor and record drilling mechanical parameters.
•Coordinate with Well-site Geologist, update on current well status.
•According to geological program requirements organize contractor complete
conventional geologic logging operation, and perform the contract accurately.
•Quality control of all evaluation results and logs prior to accepting the data or logs
from contractors.
•Providing relevant correlation and well data to contractor during drilling operations.
•Checking and certificating all reports, logs, from contractors prior to sending to
company office.
•Monitoring and supervising the collecting, processing and dispatching of formation
evaluation samples (Cutting samples, fluid samples).
•Coring operations(Determine coring point, core description, and core packing).
•All safety aspects for the well and personnel during these evaluation operations
Quality control of all mud logging data.
•According to the adjacent well data, mud logging data and drilling parameter, select coring point and casing point.
•Actively interface drilling staff on rig site (Drilling Spt.) to advise on subsurface related matters.
•Support drilling team with information on formation changes and assist in bit trip decisions.
•Hydrocarbon detection for the samples using mud and drilled cutting analysis.
•Keeping close watch on drilled cutting size and quantity in order to understand the pressurized zone or zone susceptible forcaving.
•Intimating chemist in advance about the lithology and the possibility of caving also to provide the past well information aboutthe mud weight and parameters for well condition.

•Ensure the proper working condition of Mud Logging Sensors, Deviational Survey Tool along with its calibration in consultation with service/instrumentation engineer.
