I started at Hologix as a toolset developer, on a small team that ported an IBM mainframe development and run-time product to new environments supporting work groups, distributed processing, and client-server concepts. Starting in 1996, I was using the toolset on various platforms to implement applications in realms of Order Entry, Demand Planning, Steel Mill Scheduling, Invoicing, and Product Configuration Management.
November 1980 – May 1991
INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Transform Logic Corporation, Scottsdale, AZ
I was a principle architect for the Transform software product line of application generators and utilities that provided an accelerated development environment. Program models and coding patterns were captured along with the conditions for their use so that specific programs can be generated upon entry of case definitions into a repository. These systems enabled the implementation of production quality transactions and batch programs in just hours as opposed to weeks as required with conventional techniques.
