Project Name : WEAR PROPERTIES OF AL 5083 COATS WITH TUNGSTEN CARBIDE Project Detail : High tungsten containing composite layer was fabricated by HVOF thermal spray coating on Al5083 pulsed current TIG Weld alloy and the effect of tungsten particle reinforcement on the wear behaviour was investigated and compared with the base metal and pulsed current TIG Weld alloy without tungsten carbide coating. The conclusion of these project is that Al-WC Composite layer exhibited significant improvement in the wear resistance.
