Therovercanbeusedforthemilitaryanddefenseapplications.
EvaluatingThermalConductivityofNaturalFibreReniforedpolystercomposite. Inthisprojectphragmiteskarkafiberisusedasreinforcementandpolyesterisusedas matrixtoprepareacomposite.
Thecompositesampleswerepreparedwithoutcarbonpowderandwith15vol%of carbonpowderinthecompositeusinghandlay-uptechnique.Thesesampleswerepreparedas perthesizespecifiedbyASTME1530-06standardsforthermalconductivityandtestedwith DTC300(model)atdifferenttemperatures.
Theresultsreportedanincreaseinthermalconductivitywithadditioncarbonpowderin thecompositeandobtainedvalueis0.309W/m.Kat60 c.Theresultsalsoindicatedthatthereis improvementinthermalconductivitywithincreasedtemperatureoftestingenvironment. LanguagesKnown
