Achievements:
As my role as a procurement manager at Dunkin Donuts, we were responsible for supplying more than 400 shops and donuts factories in 9 different destinations in two countries (KSA and Bahrain),
- managed to plan and expect our consumption with cooperation with operations and production departments, along with applying inventory analysis which helped in inventory efficiency by avoiding any shortages -reducing air shipments to 80% less than it used to be, which saved more than half-million Riyals- and also got a minimum overstock - 65% less than usual - .
- negotiated prices and payment terms with only the powerful and best suppliers local and global, expanded our supplier's list, suspended a lot of distributors and jumped over to the main producers and factories, such procedures when applied effectively directly reduced our cost by high amounts and helped finance to manage healthy cash flow.
- ensured having long term contracts with suppliers of the most consumed SKU, with best terms to match the company's goals.
- organized the exported shipments effectively, following the local and international laws, especially Saudi FDA, SASO, and customs, which helped to avoid demurrage penalties, and releasing our shipments once arrived at the port.
-renegotiated the delivery terms with suppliers, which saved the cost of transportation for many major items.
- managed to run, training, and support a team of 3 assistants, 22 warehouse keepers and data entry, 82 helpers and drivers.
- implemented FOB orders, after applying a study to compare prices of CIF vs FOB + shipping, which saved the cost of materials, and guaranteed faster lead time.
- reporting about unused assets, in all the company's buildings, we managed to sale the unused assets and save inventory cost.
- by highlighting the unusual stock consumptions and transfers, we helped to spot suspect thefts.
