To analyze Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Shop-floor Practices of the Potline and to determine any further Scope of Improvements to increase efficiency

To analyze the Manufacturing Feasibility of Primary Foundry Alloy (PFA) A356/A356.2

Findings and Solutions:

Detailed analysis completed on Fe contamination in Alumina Enrichment Process; Cover Bath; Spent Anode Recycling; Ball Mill Product; Unwanted Stub Attack

The Solutions were mentioned to ensure Better Preventive Maintenance Cycles; Strict Adherence to SOP to improve Metal Purity

A Plan was designed to identify Bad performing Pots for Rectification; Best performing Pots to be segregated for PFA Production and to help in Stub Attack Reduction; New Anode Change Schedule was also proposed

Plans were made to identify and rectify Process Sub systems such as Fume Treatment Plant (FTP-5.2); Ball Mill Circuit; Spent Anode Recycling; to minimize Fe pickup

To analyze the complete production process of Aluminium Rolled Products and gain an insight into the Operation and Management of Cold Rolling (SMS) Mill

To learn the complete Operation and Process of Maintenance of the J R Schneider Filtration System

To calculate and analyze the Mass Flow Rate of the Coolant Circulation Pump in SMS Mill

Findings and Solutions:

Completed analysis of Cold Rolling SMS Mill Operation Procedures

The Valve Operations in J R Schneider Filtration System were thoroughly understood and in due course of the Project, the whole Operation was Schematically described

Mass Flow Rate was calculated for the Coolant Circulation Pump and its theoretical Power Input was found to be 31 kW, against rated power of 75 kW

B. TECH PROJECT

Automated Window Cleaning Machine – 03/2018-03/2019

Submitted my B. Tech Final Year Project on an Automated Window Cleaning Machine which was designed to clean vertical windows and wall surfaces without the involvement of physical labour, allowing the operation to be completely free of human error, adhere to present and future safety norms and be very efficient.
