Roofingisthemostimportantandcostliestofallelementsofthedwelling.Inlow costconstruction,useofheavyroofingoftenleadtoincreaseofcost.Engineers alwayslookforefficientandlightroofing,inordertooptimizethecostof construction,whichrequiresminimumlabourtoinstall.Asbestossheetsarewidely usedasthesesheetsarecheapandeasilyavailable.Butduetoitshealthhazardsto lifethesesheetsareconstantlyreplacedbynaturalfibersandevenmostof corrugatedsheetsdamagedduetoheavywindloadandtearingout.Inthepresent study,NaturalFibernamelycoconutfibersareusedasreinforcementincement matrices.Roofingsheetswerecastedwithflyash-basedcoirfibersandare experimentallyevaluatedforthestrengthofthecorrugatedsheetsintermsof flexuralandimpactload.Flyashbasedcoirfiberhaswitnessedimprovedresultin thestrengthofthecorrugatedroofingsheetsduetoflexuralandimpactloadsas comparedtothecorrugatedsheetswithoutcoirfibers.TheResultofstudyrevealed thattheflyashwithcoirfibercanbeusedtoreplaceasbestosinproductionof roofingsheet.
