OBJECTIVE

SKILLS
FAMILY PRACTICE SKILLS
-Annual physical exams, well-child and well-woman exams.
-On track patient vaccination, routine screening exams, blood work, PAP smears, pre/perinatal care, etc.
-Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of both acute and chronic illnesses such as upper respiratory infections, acute gastroenteritis, exacerbation of COPD, hypertension, CAD, including new diagnoses.
-Acute and chronic disease polypharmacy management and prescribing.
-Client and family centered care.
-Risk mitigation.
-Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
-Patient education such as diabetes education, family planning, contraceptive management.
-Imaging and lab value review and ordering of diagnostic procedures.
-Office procedures such as skin biopsy, ear irrigation, injections and basic wound care.
-Post hospital follow-up care, evaluation of rehabilitation and hospice care.
-Timely and accurate documentation with different EHR’s.
ACUTE CARE SKILLS
-Perform history, physical examination, review differential diagnoses, developed plan of care, order necessary labs, exams and procedures, and follow up to continue evaluation and revising plan of care.
-Patient rounds with pulmonology and multidisciplinary team as well as daily education with other attending physicians.
-Maintenance of sterile and/or techniques to include surgical assist of I&D, chest tube insertion, intubation, arterial/central line insertion, foley/coude catheter insertion, cystography, bladder irrigation, traction of fractures, etc.
-Imaging read reviews, lab interpretation, EKG interpretation, pelvic exams, bedside ultrasound, FHT’s, peripheral venous catheter insertion and assist with bronchoscope.
-Ability to remain calm under high-stress or high-risk situations while working in the Emergency Department.
-Timely and accurate documentation with different EHR’s.
