WORK EXPERIENCE

1) In Larsen&Tubro, I was handling as departmental head for their heavy fabrication shop.

and handling production and development of welding systems as per ASME codes of Sec 2, 8 and9 for pressure vessels.Also, IBR code is followed as per customer requirements.

Welder qualifications, welding procedure approvals, welding procedure selections are the

requirements needed and are carried out.

Following jobs were executed for major industries like:-

Steel Plants, Pulp & Paper Machineries, Different Heat Exchangers, Digesters. Cement Divisions (rotary kilns, planetary gear systems)

I was handling labour problems in coordination with labour department, and also reviewing with union representatives. Safe working and safe handling for OH cranes, all types jib cranes were of utmost priority. Organising Safety week with fire extinguishers & demonstrations were carried out regularly.

Preparing monthly budget and scheduling/planning to achieve were executed meticulously. . Preparing preventive maintenance Schedule & maintaining ISO certification were part of the duties

2.) While working with Punj Lloyd as its General Manager, I was totally in charge of their fabrication unit at Gwalior. I was carrying out pressure vessels fabrication with mainly ASME Codes. I was in their core group for technical policy decisions and involved in analysis of Balance Sheet, Profit and loss account of the unit. I was a decision maker for vendor selections and Purchasing activities.

Coordinating Project Management in India and Overseas for construction sites was part of my duties along with other regular functions as Head/ General Manager. Maintaining required stock to achieve JIT was regularly monitored.

3.) While working with Birla Ply Wood Industries (ISO9001Organisation), the experience was immense. It was totally a labour intensive Industry. Manufacturing plywood’s like Water resistant, Fire Proof Resistant, Block Boards are absolutely a precision mechanical/ chemistry job.Quality to international standard is very strictly adhered. All ply wood making machines

are to follow strictly regular preventive maintenance schedules. Stewart’s cycle, PDCA cycle are normally followed for these activities.

4.)In Marshalls, I was the General Manager carrying out responsibilities mostly as detailed above. I would like to mention here, that I had carried out Marshall’s Union Agreement along with labour commissioner Chennai.Moreover, I was always a part of Domestic Enquiry Committee whenever needed. I made an inroad to implement TQM and Quality Circle in Marshalls.
