Senior Manufacturing Supervisor
Recently lead 2 teams approx.. 38 employees from 2 different union locals in all aspects of Quality, Safety, Productivity, Production Scheduling for 5 machines, 5S, TPM & IPM. My Responsibilities included daily manpower allocation, safety training, new job training, production scheduling, product quality, process control adherence, productivity goal achievement, line maintenance,
finding ergonomic solutions with engineering support, maintaining discipline when needed, maintaining contract adherence, scheduling of all hourly mfg. personnel vacations for the main plant & plant 2 (approx.375 employees). I was the only management employee in Plant 2. I was responsible for a 2 shift 6 days a week operation.. Plant 2 went over 5 years without an OSHA Recordable accident. This accomplishment set a record for all of Allied Tube & Conduits Manufacturing department.
Some of the other positions held at Allied Tube were Slitter Supervisor. The 3 slitters feed material to nine different production lines. The tube mills would run 6 days a week and the slitters would have to run 7 days a week to keep up. My first major accomplishment was eliminating the extra production day for the slitters. This was completed in my first 60 days at Allied (more details available).
