JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPERIENCE

RF DRIVE TEST Engineer & Post Processing :-

Investigation and troubleshooting network quality problems.

Analysis of drive test data and OSS KPI statistics.

Provide support to customers in field of expertise.

Checking and rectify PCI swap, coverage and handover related issue, RRU faults.

Performs RF performances activities in customer projects independently and according to project plan.

Single site drive test, created site acceptance report format, drive test analysis.

Processing Drive logs in Genex Assistance,TEMS Discovery and preparing report as per customer requirement.

Ensuring KPIs and optimizing to be met RSRP, RSRP statistics, DL/UL throughput, Latency as per customer.

LTE Network Launch & Cluster Optimization

Preparing cluster route for Drive Test by using MAP INFO and Google earth.

Troubleshooting problems like missing neighbors, coverage holes, pilot pollution, area of no dominance, code plan problems, overshooting sites etc. through drive log analysis.

RF coverage optimization using antenna tilt and azimuth fine tuning for optimal coverage overlap and reduction of pilot pollution to improve Ec/Io to get better throughput.

Recommendation of neighbor optimization and physical optimization to achieve desired Pilot coverage.

Perform initial RF tuning and optimization based on drive test result to improve RF coverage, eliminate pilot pollution, detect missing neighbor and compare before/after drive test to verify the adjustment.

Responsible for report preparation to be done by the data processers and the reports submission to the client.

4G (LTE) Experience:-

Worked for Vodafone Huawei as 4G DT Engineer.

Performed Single Site verification (SSV) for LTE sites.

Carried out basic parameter monitoring such as RCRP, RSRQ & SINR.

Performed LTE Throughput test on Uplink and Downlink using both FTP and HTTP servers.

Performed Ping Test, UDP Tests and CS Fall Back (CSFB) tests.

Performed LTE cluster Drives.

Uplink and downlink throughput between the base station and the UE, in order to test the performance of MIMO antennas.

Handover verification including intra and inter handover within defined clusters.

3G (UMTS) Experience:-

Responsible for reducing congestion and drops, improving the IRAT Handover, Soft Handover, Optimizing the 3G sites by analyzing the root-cause and improving the CSSR(Call Setup Success Rate) and RAB(Radio Access Barrier) Success rate.

Optimized to improve Ec/Io (Reduce Pilot Pollution) by improving RSCP of dominant cells and reducing coverage (Interference) of less dominant sectors through antenna mechanical & electrical Tilt changes and power changes, thus rectify the overshooting sectors issues and hence to reduce pilot pollution.

Analysis different type of parameters for HSDPA such as CQI, No of Codes Assigned CPICH (common pilot channel).

Analysis different type of Modulation scheme such as 16QAM, 64QAM, QPSK for downloading and QPSK for Uploading.

Inter Cell Handover check using Cell Track and call testing in each sector.

Analyzing call drop, handover and coverage issues.

Verifying RF planning parameters (BCCH, BSIC, LAC, HSN, and MAIO) for new site.

Analyzing RF measurements (GSM and GPRS) and statistics in order to decide the need of new sites either for traffic, coverage or quality.

Co-channel (C/I) and Adjacent channel (C/A) Interference analysis.

Performing Drive Test to validate frequency plan and neighbour list and identifying

the spots of weak call quality.

Finding the swap, Interference in the sites during the optimization & resolve the swap.
