Systems Architect/Engineer

Program Manager over a team of fourteen Camber Employees and five architects. Assuring deadlines were met and work satisfied the government customer.

Created Enterprise/System Architecture for headquarters operations. Collaborated with primary system engineer for system architecture concerning design and using best methods and hardware for development.

Primary Duties:

Developed Family of Systems and/or Systems of Systems Architecture for a CBRN environment always working with stake holders to assure the finished system was exactly what the customer wanted. Some but not all of my duties are listed below.

Help enhance future systems by making suggestions and offering a better and more cost-effective build:

oI have always kept up with new technologies such as PEGA (No Code systems) for servers and Supermicro's latest Resource-Saving (power saving) servers. As well as should we be using blades over typical server boxes, etc.

oMy work went from server to client all along working with the stake holders I stayed close until everything was running smoothly. As a PM I believe this is my number one priority, keep them informed and assure it is the best system for the job at hand. Occasionally their Systems Engineer would meet with me and my team

oIt was my job to maintain cost effective information and present it to the Army team for approval, examples would be JTIC or JRO. Aberdeen Proving Ground and Edgewood (APG South) were dedicated to building newer and more modern systems to protect the War Fighter and systems on board the base, as well as covering CBRN incidents over the fence.

oIt was also my responsibility to assure cybersecurity was number one. Creating and assisting builds for the US Army this was essential, so I always stayed on top of their server to client data pass as well as routers and switches.

oAs an architect I would produce many diagrams along the way, each new diagram and explanation by me would help us to decide if we should add or take away a part of the new system.

Tools used were No Magic, Magic Draw, Unicom SA or Visio. Monitored DoDAF architecture design by System Engineer to ensure customer satisfaction. Freelance architecture was also used to help the stakeholders choose a direction. I always gave the presentations and had the input of other architects involved. It was imperative that I communicate Enterprise/System Architecture to maintain changes

oEven though the Army did not utilize wireless communication I have kept up with it over the years. Currently I am proficient in WiMax, 802.11 b,g,11b and n. Future systems such as ad and ah as well.

oI use my talent and twenty years’ experience as a Systems Engineer along with proving architecture and guidance.
