During my training here, I gained notable experience in the clinical side of orthopedics such as documenting and communicating patient histories, performing diagnostic physical exams, ordering/ interpreting labs and imaging, providing therapeutic joint injections and aspirations in all applicable joint spaces, and applying casts and slings.

Additionally, I was able to function as first and second assist in numerous operating room procedures involving both the upper and lower extremity joints, as well as the spine. This opportunity allowed me to become familiar with the typical hardware for most orthopedic procedures, counsel patients pre and post operatively and become adept at closing incision sites/suturing.
