I am seeking a continued career position within the behavioral health and substance use disorder field as a caregiver and social architect for people in need of assistance living a better quality of life. I particularly wish to offer my energy, experience and education to provide hope and alleviate societal stigma in the LGBTQ community, while continuing to learn and grow personally and professionally.

Experienced in all levels of care of substance use disorder treatment, including detox, outpatient, inpatient and residential treatment, working with complex populations including co-occurring disorders, young adults, first responders, sexual offenders. work closely with director of clinic on clinical and operational betterment, conduct DSM-V assessment/evaluation of substance use disorders, develop and initiate individualized treatment planning and relapse prevention plans, utilize person centered care for continued engagement of patients with goal of successful completion of treatment services. Developed, implemented and lead engaging/creative group therapy sessions as well as developed, implemented and lead family program, mentor and supervise new clinicians, provide agency wide training to all new clinicians as well as trainings to assist established clinicians in maintaining OASAS credentialing. Close collaboration with Dr. Thomas Small (local pioneer in medicated assisted treatment) in developing several group therapy lesson plans to assist patients receiving medicated assisted treatment for a myriad of different addictions. Individual behavioral health counseling under the guide of Dr. Small, including; assessment, diagnosis, and creating effective treatment plans for individual patients.
