WORK EXPERIENCE:
Employer : SPAR GEO INFRA PVT. Ltd.
Clients : Airport Authority of India, NHPC, BRO, CRRI. Designation : Assistant Geotechnical Engineer
Duration : March 2018-March 2019
PROJECT 1 : Construction of concrete cladding wall to maintain the uphill slope on the western side of the basic strip at Pakyong Airport, Sikkim.
Client: AIRPORT AUTHORITY OF INDIA
Projects Description:
Modelling the slope section of each chainage as per the given geological log data, assigning soil/rock shear strength parameters as the input in the software (Slide 2D- 2018) and analyzing the Factor of Safety (Bishop simplified analysis method) of the unprotected soil, assigning support parameters ( type of support, out of plane spacing, tensile capacity, pullout strength).Calculation of length of cable anchor and SDA for global stability and local stability (surface erosion).
Analyzing the slope stability with ground anchor to achieve desired Factor of Safety.
Calculation of fixed length of cable anchor and SDA for global stability and local stability (surface erosion).
Checking the stability of slope in static as well as seismic condition.
For the given seismic zone of the project site, calculating the horizontal and vertical seismic coefficient as per IS 1893(1)-2002.
Design of mesh for puncture stability.
PROJECT 2: Slope restoration along the tailrace channel using suitable protection techniques for the purpose of erosion control and preventing falling of debris into the channel. Client: NHPC (National Hydroelectric Power Corporation) Projects Description:
Preparation of preliminary design proposal of Teesta Lower Dam Project-IV.
Modelling the slope section as per the given bore log data, assigning soil/rock shear strength parameters as the input in the software (Slide 2D- 2018) and analyzing the Factor of Safety (Bishop simplified analysis method ) of the unprotected soil, assigning support parameters ( type of support, out of plane spacing, tensile capacity, pullout strength).
Analyzing the slope stability with cable anchor and SDA (Self-Drilled Anchor) to achieve desired Factor of Safety, preparation of bill of quantity.
PROJECT 3: Preliminary design proposal for Rockfall mitigation at Chamera Stage III. Client: NHPC (National Hydroelectric Power Corporation) Projects Description:
Preliminary design proposal for Rockfall mitigation at Chamera Stage III.
Modelling the slope section.
Risk analysis of falling rocks on steep slopes on RocFall-2019.
Rock fall simulation for various height and weight of rock mass with rock fall barrier. PROJECT 4: Strengthening the base of RE wall at Pakyong Airport, Sikkim. Client: AIRPORT AUTHORITY OF INDIA
Projects Description:
Preliminary design proposal for Strengthening the base of RE wall with micropile and cable anchor.
Modelling the slope section for a particular chainage and analyzing the RE wall stability with ground anchor and micropile.
Checking the stability of slope in PLAXIS 2D for the given soil parameters.
Checking the displacement of the RE wall with and without support.
Design of Micropile.
Preparation of Bill of Quantity.
PROJECTS:
M.Tech: Project on “Study on behaviour of pile foundation in liquefiable soil”. Brief description: During earthquake the foundation on the liquefied soil gets affected due to movement of soil in the form of liquid. Model end bearing pile foundation structure embedded in loose sand is tested in a shake table under harmonic motions. Four physical models, consisting of 1x2, 2x2, 3x3 and 4x4 pile groups, were tested in a shake table where the pile surrounding the soil liquefied due to given earthquake motion.
B.Tech: Project on Comparison of conventional concrete with glass fiber reinforced concrete using gypsum as a replacement of cement. Brief description: In this project some percentage of cement is replaced with gypsum and different percentages of glass fibers are added to the concrete. The compressive strength of glass fiber reinforced concrete was compared with conventional concrete.
