Started as a service technician and rapidly progressed to Sr. service technician and took the lead assisting other techs with challenging issues.

I gained multiple awards for customer service while in that position.

Once the position became available, I progressed onto Field Engineer, and then Sr Field engineer.

I am proficient with Crestron, Biamp, Extron, QSC, Planar, Crown, Vaddio and most major manufacturer in the market today.

Seeing multiple issues constantly in the field I instituted what became our QA department of which I took lead over as manager of 3+ years.

There I setup tie in between PC/ PM’s and Rack Fab so that ALL racks that were not built on site were setup and tested in QA with documentation using standard acceptable practices before being sent out. Issues were resolved by my setting up all aspects of communication and collaboration between Presales Engineering, Production Engineering, Field Installation, Programming teams, and Project managers so everyone could share in the information to prevent recurring issues.

I instituted a testing program for new firmware from manufacturer’s before being released for use in the field.

I drafted and implemented standards for Field Installation, QA, with assistance from Production Engineering and Rack Fabrication departments tying all of us together.

I set up a random field inspection schedule and set expectations for daily field reports from Install Foreman

.

I took lead assisting field crews with installation issues, assisting service techs with complex service issues becoming their go to source of remote support.

I started cross training personnel for more flexibility and to give other room for advancement.

I took lead as the lone service tech/ field engineer assigned to Under Armour Baltimore campuses keeping things in running order using automated tickets and direct calls from them. I also provided remote support for them on remote sites including Australia.

I obtained authorization as the local repair agent for Crown and Panasonic for the area and still operate a board level service repair facility.

Certified Electronic Service Inc Ellicott City MD

I started Certified Electronic Service Inc. a consumer and commercial electronic service company. We specialized in all aspects of video display, television, audio, and specialty products servicing. Emphasizing in onsite service since its’ inception.

I have extensive experience in most major brands including some esoteric brands such as Runco. We were an authorized servicer for most major brands and TPAs.

I set rates, re-designed our service contract program and obtained bonding for it.

Skills honed and obtained included Hot Air rework, SMD removal and installation and component level repair on printed circuit boards which sometimes required reverse engineering due to the lack of valid service schematics.

I obtained many SkillPath certifications on customer service, the art of negotiating and business principles.
