My duties and responsibilities include being the Physical therapist in an Outpatient setting, Adult Day Care Centers, as well as Home health. My job is to evaluate, assess, diagnose and treat patients of all ages and conditions.
I primarily treat patients from geriatric population with orthopedic as well as neurological disorders and chronic pain patients with medical problems or other health conditions that cause pain, restrict their movements for daily activities and make them dependent on care giver.
Common conditions treated include cervical pain, lumbago, hemiplegia and hemiparesis s/p stroke, muscle and joint contractures s/p CP, intervertebral disc disorders of spine, THR and TKR, OA of hip and knee, Abnormality of gait and posture, poor balance, muscle weakness and vertigo.

As per VA law, I spent 1000 hours of training under senior physical therapist who taught me to examine each individual and develop a plan using different treatment techniques to promote agility and reduce pain and improve function. After training, my duties and responsibilities were to work with individuals to prevent loss of mobility and reduce pain by developing program to improve overall functional independence.
I primarily treated young athletes with post-surgical pain, ligaments injuries etc, geriatric patients and acute pain patients with musculoskeletal and neurological disorders.
Common conditions treated were cervical and low back pain, sports injuries like sprains and strains of ligaments, ACL tear, post-surgical pain and loss of mobility as well as OA.
