Project Management

Planning, controlling and monitoring actual execution of all electrical related works of the project; monitoring and executing projects with respect to budgeted cost, demand forecasts & time over-runs; tracking project activities with particular emphasis on quality & safety and in conformity to approved drawings, contract documents, specifications.

Maintaining electronic and hard copies of project files including RFIs and submittals in the office and on job sites; maintaining communication with general contractors and suppliers; maintaining RFI and submittal logs as well as closeout documentation and must be proactive in keeping all up to date as well as regularly updating project managers with statuses; assisting with scheduling start- up and training at project closeout .

MEP Coordination

Evaluating complexity of the electrical design and estimating both the construction costs and maintenance; ensuring constructability of the design and compatibility with local building codes.

Serving as a technical resource in meetings with clients and architects; discussing electrical systems within the building in technical terms, explaining fully any anticipated difficulties with the plans.

Attending weekly meetings with clients, architects, and subcontractors; outlining work to be performed by the mechanical and electrical subcontractors, phasing of work, problems encountered in scheduling, quality of work, etc.

Ensuring that the subcontractors submit all electrical shop drawings in a timely manner; examining all shop drawings for completeness; responsible for on-time delivery of equipment.

QA / QC Inspection

Checking shop drawings for rough-ins in slabs, main switchgear layout, riser diagrams, placement of emergency generator equipment, etc.; performing detailed inspections of work in progress to ensure quality of installation, timely installation of rough-ins and compliance of the system.

Reviewing all shop drawings and ensuring their adequacy & completeness to meet local codes; inspecting all work in progress for quality and completeness; inspecting & coordinating installation of all life safety systems, smoke evacuation systems, pressurized portions of the building, fire control centers, building and elevator distress communication systems.

Undertaking daily QA/QC inspections with consultant related with Low Current Systems and internal inspections.

Reviewing proposed changes to confirm they are accurate for cost and schedule impact; resolving any technical problems encountered with the architect; reviewing all pay requests from subcontractors and ensuring that they are proper & timely; resolving any problems encountered in payments to subcontractors.

Carrying out QA/QC inspections related to final service installations.

Carrying out materials inspection as per approved materials submittals with complying with approved shop drawings and schedule.

Issuing Field (Site) instructions to contractor for any non-conformity with regards to project specification and industry standards.

Assisting the Resident / Senior engineer in reviewing the shop drawings and other contractor's submittals.
