RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide proactive safety support to employees, visitors and customers/clients at office and workplace.

Formulating safety standards and conducting Risk Assessment for specific activities and participating on Health and safety program.

Participate in weekly progress meeting between the clients, contractors and management and raise any safety concern and emphasize on the point.

Conduct daily morning inspection of the entire site and sign off before the site opening. Raise red flags in case of any issues on site and ensure that all company employees follow H & S procedures.

Advice and Assist all personnel on the project for implementation of health and safety plan and compliance with the relevant H & S legislations.

Routine inspection, monitoring and reporting the entire work site on daily basis to identify and eliminate hazards and imminent danger site conditions, on the spot corrective actions of unsafe acts and conditions noticed.

Serves as First Aid and Fire Fighting personnel and organizing monthly staff safety meetings and maintaining minutes of meetings.

Providing safety induction and orientation programs for all staff and workmen on their arrival at site, in coordination with main contractor and organizing refresher training if required.

Conducting inspections of scaffolding, ladders and power tools at a regular basis, maintaining records, preparation and submission of weekly and monthly reports.

Initiation and reporting investigation into accident/incident and near misses and recommending preventive measures to avoid reoccurrence.

Acts as a member of site crises management team and represent project safety meeting.

Comply with project requirements and liaise with the main contractor/consultant safety representatives as when do.

Maintain important information boards, posters, safety signs on regular basis.

Assist the management with development, renew and implementation of policies and procedures and monitor adherence.

Ensure preparation and implementation of site safety and Health plan (SSHP).

Ensure full implementation of control of substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).

Reporting to Safety Manager and project site manager on a weekly and monthly basis.

Ensure, in coordination with the contractors & the client if applicable, that site emergency procedures, escape routes & control of workers /vehicles present on site are satisfactory at any moment during the project.
