My primary job was to commission, install, program support and train users and clients in all forms of products sold by Miranda Technologies including under the OXTEL brand and Miranda’s subsidiary companies (NVision Routers).
My role included traveling to and commissioning systems in the entire Western Hemisphere and occasionally Asia and Australia. My responsibilities were to ensure the products functioned as specified and that customers had a functional and useful knowledge of operations, maintenance and configuration to self support the products as required.
I also participated in trade show exhibition, and in product evaluations internal to the company for product improvement and performance.
I configured and commissioned over 500 channels of Master Control, Ingest and Archive worldwide.
Systems I commissioned and maintained for Miranda and NVision included Discovery Networks STERLING US, NBC NOC NY, CBS MDC NY and LA, Televisa Archive and MCS Mexico City, Viacom NY, US Capitol, CCTV Beijing, SONY Mobile Sydney Australia. Trade Show support and booth demonstrations included NAB, IBC, BIRTV and KOBA.

My duties consisted of travelling to customer locations and programming, configuring and installation of hardware and software for the automation of broadcast systems related to ingest and playout from Master Control, all video, audio and commercial products the customer required. This included the wiring, interfacing and communication with dozens of other manufacturers and systems and controlling these products to a finite degree within a time tolerance of +-4 frames of video for playout, this included switchers, routers, servers, tape and cartridge driven devices, production switchers, satellite receivers, antenna systems, transmitters, and all forms of schedule based operations.
WPSG- Philadelphia (Paramount Stations Group –UPN) 1998 - 2000
Sr. Broadcast Engineer: Establish and design SDI for Paramount Stations Group of 5 hub and spoke LMA station operations from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh, Buffalo NY, Columbus OH, Indianapolis IN, Atlanta GA. Designed and implemented TSL/STL link systems over digital radio, and fiber link, transmitter maintenance using Comark Digital UHF transmitters. Ended with Viacom purchase of CBS 2000.
NBC10 WCAU NBC O&O Philadelphia 1996 to 1999
Performed Maintenance Engineering repair and operational engineering for the NBC O&O station WCAU in Philadelphia, duties included repair, operation and configuration of Station STL, TSL radio, analog video router, monitors, switchers, automation, cameras, ingest tape and SDI first tier configuration for initial DTV operations in a #4 market station. Included helicopter camera and SNG link operation, camera shading, EIC for sporting events and operation.
